Professional Practice

This module intends to enhance students’ understanding of the design processes in the context of practice and project legislation. The module is designed to prepare the graduate for a smooth pathway in the journey of becoming a professional Interior Designer, from registration as a professional, formation of a business, to setting up a design practice and managing projects, especially in terms of legislation and regulations. The module introduces the meanings of “professionalism” and “professional ethics”, the different business entities and the legalities and procedures for a business start-up.
